Studio Namnyak

Studio Namnyak takes its name from the designer’s Maasai name,
Namnyak, meaning “the fortunate one.”
In Maasai culture, naming is deeply intentional, and they carry that same sense of care into their work, where good fortune is shaped through collaboration, shared creativity, and thoughtful design.

Their work is shaped by the relationships that influence how ideas form, how materials are handled, and how people connect with what they make.
Founded in Nairobi, they develop work through close partnerships with artisans, creatives, and communities whose skills and perspectives enrich our process. At their studio, heritage techniques evolve into contemporary expressions, resulting in pieces that carry clarity, intention, and a sense of human contribution.
